MARA HOFFMAN FLAGship sTORE

MARA HOFFMAN founded her label in 2000.
The brand’s approach centres on sustainable materials, processes, and production in order to improve and extend each garment’s life. Hoffman commits to presenting collections devoted to colour, each inspired by and in celebration of women.
A flagship store needs to resemble the same design philosophy while showcasing the designs in the best light.
The clothing line
The facade

The line of clothing was inspired by Guatemala woven textiles, it includes a lot of geometric shapes and bright colours. The retail space drew inspiration from the geometric shapes.
The facade reflects light similar to a gemstone, the unique angles in the glass panes creates an illusion to intrigue bypassers to stop and have a look.

The main floor

The interior is inspired by crystals and how they reflect light. The MARA HOFFMAN flagship store reflects light and colours by means of high gloss finishes and polished chrome accents. The black finishes add to the beauty of each garment.
The polished chrome inlays act as a guide throughout the space in a simplistic aesthetic.
The thicker polished chrome pieces are used to indicate the final stages of your shopping experience - fitting and payment.

The INFINITE MIRROR CONCEPT creates the effect of having an unlimited space and is used in the fitting room area which is located at the back of the store underneath the mezzanine area. The use of lights and mirrors creates a visual effect of infinity. Beyond this 'infinite space' are the storage area and staff areas. By reflecting reflections, it creates the idea of infinite space, thus infinite designs and possibilities.
The Mezzanine

The mezzanine area is dedicated to the small ready-to-wear ranges and accessories. The lower section is used for the main ranges, i.e. swimwear.

The shelving
Custom created chrome plated mild steel shelving systems add to the overall layout of the design and creates a route for users to guide them throughout the space.
